Tour Plan

Day 01 Arrive Colombo → Colombo to Kandy

Meet and assist on arrival at Colombo Airport. Proceed to Kandy, with an en-route visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage:
One of Sri Lanka’s most popular attractions, home to around 65 elephants. It is considered the world’s largest sanctuary for captive elephants. You’ll see elephants of all ages, including abandoned, orphaned, and rescued elephants — some injured in the wild.

After the visit, continue your journey to Kandy. Leisure time on arrival.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Kandy.

Day 02 Kandy
  • After breakfast, enjoy a full-day Kandy city tour.

    Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a sacred Buddhist site believed to house a tooth of the Buddha. According to legend, the relic was brought to Sri Lanka in 313 AD by Princess Hemamali, hidden in her hair as she fled from India.

    Explore the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya, located about 5.5 km from Kandy. It attracts over 2 million visitors annually and features more than 4,000 plant species, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees. The garden also houses the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka.

    Take a serene walk around Kandy Lake (Kiri Muhuda or Sea of Milk), an artificial lake created in 1807 by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, located in the heart of Kandy near the Temple.

    In the evening, witness a Kandyan Cultural Dance Performance, a traditional and vibrant display of Sri Lanka’s national dance form.

Day 03 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Transfer from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda.

En route visits include:

  • Bhaktha Hanuman Temple – Believed to be the location where Lord Hanuman searched for Sita Devi among the hills of Ramboda.

  • Tea Factory and Tea Plantation – Learn about Sri Lanka’s famous tea production.

  • Seetha Amman Temple – A temple connected to the Ramayana legend.

  • Hanuman Temple at Ramboda & Ramboda Waterfalls – Scenic and spiritual attractions.

Note:
The Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka has constructed a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman on this hill. On every full moon day, special poojas are performed and attended by thousands. The granite statue of Lord Hanuman here stands 16 feet tall.

Day 04 Nuwara Eliya

Today, enjoy a Nuwara Eliya city tour.

Nuwara Eliya, meaning “the city of dawn,” is the highest elevated town in Sri Lanka, sitting at about 2000 meters above sea level. From here, you can see Pidurutalagala, the country’s tallest mountain (2555 m).

This town is the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country. You will visit a tea plantation and factory, where you’ll observe how the world-famous Ceylon Tea is made.

Next, explore:

  • Victoria Park, originally the research area for Hakgala Botanical Garden. The park was formally named in 1897 to mark Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.

  • Gregory Lake, created by British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. It remains one of the most popular attractions in Nuwara Eliya, where people enjoy lakeside relaxation and recreational activities.

Day 05 Bentota to Colombo

    Colombo is the business and commercial hub of Sri Lanka. The official capital is Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte, located nearby.

    • Became the capital in 1815, when the Kandyan Kingdom was ceded to the British.

    • Remnants from Portuguese, Dutch, and British rule are visible throughout the city.
